- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup hot fudge sauce
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Grease and flour a 9Γ5 inch loaf pan.
- In a medium bowl, melt butter. Stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
- Beat in cocoa, flour, salt, and baking powder. Spread batter into prepared pan.
- Drop hot fudge sauce by spoonfuls onto the batter. Use a knife to swirl the sauce into the batter.
- Sprinkle with chopped walnuts, if using.
- Bake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Do not overcook; the center should be set but still soft.
- Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then remove to wire rack to cool completely.
