Description

Tropical Pineapple Bliss Bars are a delightful dessert featuring a harmonious blend of tangy pineapple, creamy filling, and a buttery crust. They offer a taste of paradise in every bite, perfect for satisfying your sweet cravings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Combine flour and granulated sugar in a medium bowl. Cut in softened butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press evenly into the bottom of the prepared dish.
  3. Bake the crust for 15 minutes until lightly golden. Remove from oven and cool slightly.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix drained crushed pineapple, sour cream, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well blended.
  5. Pour the pineapple mixture over the baked crust and spread evenly.
  6. Return the dish to the oven and bake for an additional 25-30 minutes, or until the filling is set.
  7. Cool completely in the dish on a wire rack. Dust with powdered sugar before serving. Cut into bars and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a tangy twist, you can substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream.
  • Fresh pineapple can be used instead of canned, but make sure to drain any excess liquid.
  • These bars can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
  • They can also be frozen for up to 3 months.
