- 2 onions, chopped
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 cup elbow macaroni, uncooked
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat, draining excess fat.
- Add onions and garlic to the skillet, cooking until tender.
- Stir in beef broth, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes with juice, paprika, salt, pepper, and bay leaves. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add elbow macaroni and green bell pepper. Cover and simmer for an additional 20 minutes until macaroni is tender.
- Remove from heat, discard bay leaves, and stir in cheddar cheese until melted.
